Man, that is sad to hear. He was definitely my favorite player these last few years because he had so much talent and athleticism. He could definitely shoot the ball and could have become a really good defender if he could have kept his head on straight.
I will have to say I don't miss getting to the games and playing the "Let's see if Jeremie is dressed and in the layup lines" game...

Pretty easy to see what was more important to him. Whit kept him around way too long. The kid was never going to reward him for sticking with him and trying to help him.

We're only going to see more of that, with pot becoming legal in more and more states.
Stupid.

Work without passion is misery. He probably wasn't going pro anyway so that kind of work and commitment without really loving it would really be a drag.
If he'd rather smoke pot than play ball I won't substitute my preferences. I'd like to see a system where those aren't mutually exclusive.

Spending your time smoking dope makes you pretty much useless for any job. Except selling pot.

He was my son's favorite player for the last few seasons following good interactions at the BSU basketball camp. My most all accounts, Jeremie is a good kid who made poor choices. Does anyone know if he graduated? I have no doubt that is why Coach stuck with him as long as he did.. carrying him til January so his scholarship would cover second semester in case he was forced to drop him.

"Someone's never smoked marijuana before. "
Sure I did, when I was young and stupid. Never cared much for it, because I didn't like the way I felt like I wasn't in control once the high was gone.
If you want to be a pothead as an adult, go ahead, but I reserve the right to call you a moron. If that's how you escape your problems, maybe you'd be better off solving your problems instead of escaping them.

I moved back to the Midwest in the 90’s from beautiful Colorado to get away from the potheads in Colorado who taught kids that smoking pot was ok! I was raising three daughters at the time. We love camping, hiking, cross country skiing, and snow. It wasn’t legal then, but it didn’t matter. It does go down to the kids as being acceptable. The Indiana Attorney General is strongly against. The County Police will enforce Indiana law. Our nation is becoming a nation of potheads - sorry, deal with your problems. I feel someday Indiana will join the rest of the country, hopefully not in my lifetime.

Goofy leftthink:
Tobacco = BAD, pot = GOOD.
Just be consistent, wouldja?
And to be clear, I don't think people should be jailed for smoking pot unless it endangers another person. Something equal to a traffic ticket would be ok with me.
