Am I the only one who will admit to going to King's Corner on a semi-regular basis? Most of the time I was at the Chug. If I wanted to talk to someone, we'd go to Mugly's. Last call at King's Corner always included Van Halen's rendition of "Happy Trails"

Was King’s Corner where the Pig and Whistle was? I’m pretty sure if you remember the Pig and Whistle, you could be rmcalhoun’s long lost grandfather. I sent him your contact info for a New Year’s get together 😁🍻

Was King’s Corner where the Pig and Whistle was? King's Corner was in The Northwest Plaza (McGalliard & Wheeling) I’m pretty sure that was the Pig and Whistle. Also frequented Mr. B’s, Manor’s Lounge, 67 Club and the Sugarcube.

What was the bar/restaurant on McGalliard, by the train tracks (now The Greenway) that used to have 2 for 1 drinks on Wednesdays?
Used to go in there and older bar patrons would order drinks, and get 2 for 1. Many didn't want a second drink so they would end up sending the second one over to us college kids.
Many a Wednesday night would involve buying one drink, and getting six or seven. again, don't judge.

I frequented a place called "Orv's" on Nichols in maybe the mid-late 80's. Also butterfields on Tillotson. Did not have lonely older men paying for my drinks....not that there is anything at all creepy about that?
