The eight-team field also includes Boise State, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Houston, Portland, UTEP and Washington. Each team will play three games, just like at ESPN's Charleston Classic, where the Cardinals played earlier this season.

Unlike this year in Charleston, I believe next year we should get a reasonable seed for this tournament...maybe like a # 4??

def an easier tournament.. Would have liked to have that one this year.. We will not be as good next year We will miss Persons and Moses, no doubt. But the way KJ has played, and Teague we will have two star players. We lose 3, 2 good ones, gain gain 5. Returning players, Ish may actually be a player. Hazen may have his time to shine. We'll have even more athleticism coming in with Acree and Coleman. Bumbalough is playing great on a team that lost its best player and may just be able to play. That's about 3 or 4 players who may do a lot to replace Persons, Moses and their minutes.
Whether we can play small in the middle or Huggins has to play, I worry we miss the oft maligned Moses. Still, we will be good, but probably not as good as this year. Whether the increased athleticism allows us to play differently and well we will have to play a little differently. Hard to say how that is a variable. Will probably test that small ball theory much more than we have this year.

I agree a bit easier but with Houston who may be the favorite along with Washington, and Georgia Tech no walk in the park

To speak more plainly, we'll be unbalanced again, which puts a ceiling on any expectations

Indiana State played in this year's Diamondhead Classic Championship game.
We beat them by 17 earlier this year, but ISU lost to the Desmond Bane TCU's by 20 in the title game.
Hey, we can compete with Desmond Bane!

Hey, we can compete with Desmond Bane! Indiana State lost because they start four guards , a 6'8" center, and can't defend anyone. TCU would beat us like a drum, we would have twenty turnovers against their defense.
