0-3 loss at Lewis. It looks like this year’s Volleycards are a step behind the contenders. At #7 Loyola Sunday

Have to say it surprises me that Lewis and others out recruit and maybe out coach us in recent years considering our solid history in VB.
Just can’t seem to get a handle on our program and lack of advancement year after year. Solid play it seems but never great and always a step behind the national powers.
Is that a misinterpretation?
I love watching the Cards but seems like we are stuck in a quagmire so to speak.

You have an accurate interpretation from my perspective. Close, but no cigar against the other top tier.
I may be wrong, but I thought we made a decision a few years back to give less scholarships to men's volley ball.
If that's the case, we are very competitive given our administration's desired strategy.
If that's not the case, then we are a step behind top tier......but better than we had been prior to the last five years.
Loyola doesn't fund baseball or football. Lewis doesn't fund football.

It is my understanding that BSU and the other MIVA teams are all at the same NCAA scholarship limit but I am not 100% certain of that.

Cards lose third straight to a top 15 team. Lose to Purdue Ft Wayne 0-3 tonight. 1-4 in MIVA
In last 10 sets, Cards are 1-9

Yep. Nothing more to see here.
Searching for another possible sport to follow. Looks like the BSU well is dry.

Bring back Litchfield as the men’s coach. Hell, if his demeanor and language were too rough for the women’s team, perhaps it’s what the men’s team needs about now.

Looks like men's basketball is one of the higher performing '18/'19 Ball State men's programs. We need to all jump on board. Tennis (w) 6-1 Soccer (w) 14-3-3 (2018) Volleyball (w) 22-10 Softball (w) 8-5 Golf 2/9 MAC tournament 2018 Basketball 14-12Volleyball 7-8 Swimming 2-4 Football 4-8 Tennis 2-5 Basketball (w) 7-18 Gymnastics (w) 3-9 Golf (w) 6/10 MAC tournament 2018 Baseball 1-4 Swimming 1-4 Field Hockey (w) 2-16 Cross Country (w) 11/12 Mac tournament
