I guess we aren't calling blatant charges in the OT today.

The clear charge stole this game from us....we were up 1....with that call going the other way...it was a clear call....

Actually I thought the uncalled travel on the last score by Kent State was worse.

Cards lose a heart breaker in OT. There are few breaks for the red and white in Worthen, never have been since the place opened.
I thought the Cards played with a lot of heart, especially late in the second half. Too many turnovers to get the win.
Go Cards!

Sure hope Huggins improves over the summer. As a preview of what we will look like next season without a true center, it wasn't pretty. Note Whitford couldn't afford to put Huggins in at the end even when he was down to almost nothing on the bench. Teague guarding the opposing team's Centers next season will see Teague fouling out on a regular basis just like he did today.

We were lucky to tie the game. Blame the officials all you want but we continue to play horseshit basketball. 20 turnovers and they turned it over 9 times. We have no semblance of offense and the only compliment I can give is we played harder today. I honestly believe we need to move on from this coaching staff. Oh, we found out why Huggins does not play much. He absolutely has no instincts and can’t move his feet. A good big man will get 40 against him let alone an undersized 6’5 post from Kent. Just awful basketball. This team is hard to watch.

Hard for me to blame the officiating when we turn the ball over 20 times and give up 14 offensive rebounds.

I understand what both Reevo and Sweep mean by our play and turnovers but tell me that wasn't a charge with the Cards up 1 late?? We get that call in my view we likely win...and as bsutrack said likely a travel to boot.
Bad calls lose games to just ask the Saints.

I understand, but you can't control the officiating, you can control how you play and we flat-out stink. Our "point guard" had seven f--king turnovers.

You control what you can control which is our play. We continue to play bad basketball and we have no control over the officials. None. We have 3 kids on redshirt and our starting center for next year is a stiff, meaning he is not very good. Our coach and poor recruiting, no true point guard and no post , and roster management has put us in this position. There is really no more to it. We have no one to blame but the guy who is in charge of the program.

Kent got 29 points off our turnovers today, just sayin'. That said, 2/3 of the crew today was absolutely atrocious. From non-calls on travels and obvious charges along with the turnover on Mallers, it is the same thing year in and out in this league. Do we not pay crews enough to get quality? Worse, former MAC officials move on to the Big Ten and call a completely opposite style. How do member schools expect anyone to pay good money for these games when the league appears committed to this bullshit? When members of our coaching staff (Grunkemeyer) are restrained from going after referees, it says a little something.
