I hear what your saying and no they are not great teams but I look at this way if any of them just progress a little that makes our improvement have to even more since we were already behind them. Its not like we were the better team and just lost to these guys because of circumstances.. We got passed by almost everyone so its going to take teams taking a step back and us taking a few steps forward to even out or pass them back. Its not impossible but its an uphill battle tight now.. We have to find the best QB option and hope whoever plays well, Wr need to step and the D needs to improve more.. The staff also has to get on the same page and put us in good positions[/quote]
I think that’s why I’m optimistic. I believe Plitt is a gunslinger. Yes I’m aware that he’ll be leading the MAC in interceptions (probably), however I think these guys need to just get after it, let it ride. Learn that mistakes, mojo, whatever can happen, but also you can overcome it. Keep your head in the game, keep the effort up and (dare I say) keep rowing the boat. Let Plitt sling the ball around, let some young blood get use to catching/running. Use a few backs to offset & keep them honest. Got to get the offense moving vertical, let the new blood helping on defense create some consistency & good direction. By seasons end we’ll be cranking it up. We got a little size, maybe a little depth with size. It’s time, let’s all crank it up. Anyone know when spring practices start?

If we do that we will still likely kill the staff and plitt for being over aggressive but anything beats the ho hum 5 yard side lines passes

I would think Neu will really go for broke and try to save his job.

Hmm, are we sure Plitt gets the job? Some good talent to give him a run.

If Plitt throws that many picks we ain’t winning anything.

They have way more talent than we do.

Not sure if anyone noticed this, but former Florida State starting QB Francois transferred to FAU and is available right away. That game is looking even tougher now.
I will definitely attend that game. It’s not very often you get someone as high profile as Lane Kiffin at Ball State.

We’ve had a bunch of staff changes, had two fifth-year seniors transfer, have a historically porous defense led by a DC who seems to excel at that, no proven QB and the lone guy with snaps is a turnover machine. We also lost some of our depth due to a dozen transfers. This is not a stock that is trending up.

If we can produce a hot young QB we could be in for a rollercoaster ride similar to a Texas Tech year. They have been hot and cold every season for years now. Young teams are sooooooo unpredictable but boy can they be fun to watch. Let's try to keep the turn overs down, not get down on ourselves if we give up a few big plays and see what happens. We could be exciting and maybe win a few we shouldn't.

I'll be shocked if we muster 3-4 wins out of that schedule.

If we only win three we will probably looking for a new coach and it could be similar to when we hired Lembo (or as I call him now that snake in the grass)
