Ok, we are less than a week away from our opener at Bradley.
Who do you think the Cards will open the season with?
Its a very tough call in a couple of key spots...here are my thoughts of starters by position:
PG. Davis
2. Tyler
3. Sellers
4. House
5. Moses
PG thru #3 are easy to call but the #4 & 5 are very tough to call. While we're at it who will be first off the bench? I'm guessing Weber!!

Wish we knew how things were looking in practice, but I tend to agree that Webber and Wells will start, especially considering that we open at Bradley.
The thing about that that excites me just as much is that means Smith, Kiapway, Teague, Calhoun, House and Moses are coming off the bench. I think it's possible that that second six could be better than our starting lineup most of last year.
I don't know who'll be first off the bench, but I'd love for it to be Teague. He's potentially the one kid who brings something to the table we haven't seen in a while.

Weber is very good. May not start but will get starters minutes. I like him as the super sub in many ways, we should always have Sellers or Weber on the floor. They can shoot and we need that. Might not need both. I think we need an inside scorer so House has to start.
Wells or Bo will probably start at center, especially in game one on the road. Bo is an under rated solid player who doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

1 Big man to guard post, hopefully challenge shots at rim. 1 inside scorer 2 outside shooters 1 ball handler against pressure and good defender at guard
We have a shortage of inside scorers, maybe only one good one, don't have a really great inside defender, but still we have good candidates to fill every job description, stronger at every position this year compared to last. Numbers means we play hard the whole game, a significant plus.
Most important thing at all positions is that everyone can play team defense and not make goofy errors...

Moses will start and don't be surprised to see a Redshirt!!
I agree that Weber will play significant minutes and we will play at least 8 in the rotation and more likely 9.

Yes, very possible due to earlier injury.

Whitford said Teague was fine and full go at the start of practice.

By all reports, Teague is practicing. Like any freshman he will probably take some time to learn and to get used to the speed and physical play in college. He might red shirt at a B10 school.

If Teague is not a 100% Whit may not want to lose part of his first full year...just because he's practicing does not mean he's a 100%.
It may be better for both the team and Teague to preserve this year if the aforementioned is correct. He could practice like Weber and Persons and be much stronger next year!!

There is no chance in hell Whitford is going to redshirt anyone who might bolster this years team.

Stay tuned...we will see. If a player is not physically ready he might hold him back....thats all I'm saying....why would he waste a year of his eligibility?
