Quick story: I had the opportunity to attend the win over Pitt in Indy and partied after at Ike and Jonsies where we literally danced on tables. Attended the loss to Kendall Gill and the Illini a few days later. The next year I was at the Oregon State game sitting next to Dr Reity. Dr says might as well go now but being the optimist I’m saying we can pull it out. We were down two and Gary Peyton and Co had the ball and as I recall had to go the length of the floor but a bad pass gave us the ball out under our basket with about 3 secs to go. Coming out of a timeout Paris hits about a 12 footer and is fouled...OSU calls time out to ice the trash talkin McCurdy who nails it to win something like 51-50. We beat Louisville next which atttending was so fun! As I remember they had Felton Spencer and a pretty good guard who’s name escapes me. Luckily got to attend Oakland for the UNLV matchup it’s a shame we didn’t get Loyola Marymount first but you got to beat the best to be the best. Yep, I was at both games at the dome as a friend was working for the NCAA at the time. My tickets were 19 rows from the floor. Good ole Sean Miller was Pitts guard and we played well but ran into probably the most talented team in the country that year in Illinois. I believe Illinois had 3 or 4 guys from that team Play in the NBA. I believe we were the 8th seed. Great memories of a great team. My opinion but the best that has ever played in the MAC!

Yeah, just sitting back trying to recapture A little of the glory of, well time slips aways And leaves you with nothing mister but (not) boring stories of..... Glory days, well they'll pass you by, Glory days, in the wink of a young girl's eye, Glory days, Glory days.....

Rick was a unique guy, great coach and a good friend of mine.
I think of him often and just wish he could have found a way of over coming his cravings for food and resultant obesity.
I miss “the big guy”!

$13 well spent
Wish I had my stub. Took my dad and we didn’t want to leave after the game was over.
