I was agnostic about Kyler Murray as the first pick until I saw the suit he wore yesterday. I would NOT turn my offense over to anyone who would wear that suit in public. It is God awful. Seriously, who looks at themselves in a suit like that and thinks "Yeah, this is a good look" What a moron. It doesn't even fit very well. Just awful. Based on your posts in the Buckley thread, I thought you would like the Gatsby inspired look.

Speaking of drafts, I just ran across something I had not heard before.
The Kansas City Royals had the 29th overall (2nd round) pick in the 1971 baseball draft. They choose George Brett, hall of famer and generally thought to be the 2nd greatest third baseman of all time. Pretty good value for a 2nd rounder. However you could also say they blew it because the Phillies had the very next pick and choose Mike Schmidt, the greatest third baseman of all time. Probably the Royals were pretty satisfied with their pick anyway.
Also chosen in that draft were Joe Thiesmann and Archie Manning. And Keith Hernandez with the 776th pick, by StLouis. First overall pick was a guy named Danny Goodwin, who never amounted to jack in the majors. Interesting draft.
Also, it was stupid to pick an OG with the 6th overall pick last year.

In which case it sure was lucky...turned out great. One of the 3 or 4 most successful rookies.

Hype isn't production.

Not enough touchdowns? What?
When I see the number of opposing players he lined up against flat on their backs after a play, I count it as production. Not Hype.
Is it hype or should we be impressed when peers, opposing coaches and GM's along with team mates say he is a difference maker?
What do they know? All baseless hype? Compared to your opinion formed before he played a down, and unchanged despite what anyone saw on the field?

What exactly was that number or opposing players you are talking about? How does that number compare to other Guards? What is the effect of this on a team's chance of winning? What is the effect relative to Calvin Ridley's 10 touchdowns? What is his impact compared to an offensive tackle picked up 31 picks later?
Such are the questions intelligent, inquisitive people ask themselves. Others are content with media blather, and having their opinions spoon fed to them.

Two things
Just give those big uglies a little love.
Q is a generational talent. An exception to the good ... general...rule you defend.
