...some services had him at like the 104th best player in the Country.. Yeah and Max preps has him at 270 and Rivals doesn't have him ranked at all. That 104 ranking was early in his Junior year and he slipped way down the rankings lists when he showed little to no improvement between his Junior and Senior seasons. Do you guys honestly believe a 6'8" 185 pound kid who averaged 12 points a game in High School is going to come in and tear it up at the DI level ? I am sorry but he just isn't the player you guys think he is. Still a good recruit with lots of athleticism and upside. Most of us did not expect him to come in and start, or tear it up, especially not this year. Most MAC coaches would take him gladly. The question mark on eligibility was a bet we won. He did come in eligible. Not likely to be Rhodes scholar, and academics may still be a challenge, though. Having HS trouble is an indication college will require changes. Freshmen across campus discover they have to make changes. Tougher for an athlete who spends hours on his sport, very intense there too, by comparison to HS. Adjustment is often a problem.

We can't win. It's impossible. We might not even score.

"Most MAC coaches would take him gladly." Odd considering none offered ........... Who knows, early on he was rated highly perhaps they thought they needed a local connection? 3 stars at Rivals, 4 stars on ESPN, he had considerable interest. Butler, Nebraska, Purdue were mentioned. Ole Miss had interest. BSU stayed in and offered. Perhaps they were worried about academics? We also did sign him in October when that was a gamble. At the end it was two programs that had longer term interest in him who were finalists, so maybe that counted? In May: MAC programs interestedHigh major potentialI'll buy that some here who saw him as a Freshmen star had higher hopes for him than were probably justified, but at the MAC level a very talented player for sure.

Yeah I love your attached URL who calls him a "High Major Prospect" and then lists his skill set as:
Skills Review:
Shooting: Average Dribbling: Average Passing: Average Rebounding: Average Intangibles: Average
