Ok, after the opener what happens at home against EIU that beat us soundly last year at their place.
They are picked 2nd or 3rd in the West of the Ohio Valley depending on which preseason poll you look at.
So, whats the outcome??

Easy. If we play lost and clueless like we did against Bradley we will get blown out. If we actually play with a purpose and take care of business we will have a chance to win. It's a home game so we need to place extra value on it. One thing is for certain, we HAVE to come up with an offense and make full use of the guys who can score, especially against a zone.
If we aren't competitive with an EIU I think it would be fair to say the program is dead in the water. Additionally, Webber better prove to be a lot smarter going forward than he showed. He let his team down with stupidity. Can't have that. He's a key piece so hopefully when he does get back in the court he'll be a leader and help pull us out of the muck.

+1 on the first part, cardfan.
I give us more than 2 games, especially without knowing about Weber and Teague, before we go on life support.
I just want to see a home win, and of course want the streak broken. Monday winning would not settle all the issues, but would be a real lift, and put the kid on track to the Eagle's nest on his bet.

What's the outcome? Easy. We're going to lose. Again. It's what we do.

I buy that we need to put the right guys on the court from the beginning...we will not get blown out.
I could be wrong but I do not think we get Weber back until the game after EIU.
Once we do...I'm not certain in non pressing situations that I would not start:
PG Tyler
2 Weber
3 Sellers
4 Calhoun
5 Moses
If I'm not mistaken Tyler did occasionally play the point on a short handed team...this five has scoring potential from every position...I do not like Davis and Smith's inability to score from the outside...no one has to defend them except off the dribble...

Last nights starting line up was punch less. I'm hoping whit was making a point to some of the guys who didn't start and didn't truly think that was his best 5.
Yes I did mean Webber after the EIU game. He's out two.
I'm looking at competitive, Oohm. If we aren't competitive the red flag is gigantic and flapping.

Last nights starting line up was punch less... If we aren't competitive the red flag is gigantic and flapping. The lineup had House and Sellers and Tyler so it had some punch except those guys didn't play well. And without Weber the problem was compounded. Against EIU we need to see those guys play well. I think I have said that. So, we are not greatly in disagreement. That is what +1 means. I disagree that "dead in the water" is quite right after two games. I acknowledge it will feel that way.

I agree with Card fan...I mean having Smith and Davis at the #1 and 2 is crazy...and I do not think that House is stronger than Bo when you combine scoring and rebounding..
We must have a scorer at the #2 and thats certainly not Davis or Smith...Tyler, Kipaway, Weber, possibly Sellers...pick who you want but not Davis or Smith...we need more scoring on the floor...that we may all agree too.

I'd go Calhoun over house. And I don't see how we can have both Smith and Davis in at the same time either. Two wings who can't score? Not good.

Hey, I got a question for any of you that frequent the board...do you think any of the Coaches ever come on the board just to read whats being said???
Also, I believe if Card fan, The General, and OOhmh coached a game we could win IF we didn't kill one another...ha!

Well, let's see. EIU is ranked 273rd...in other words, probably another bad team. My prediction is that any youth players attending the game will soon have their coaches scratching their heads and wondering how the lad regressed and picked up so many bad habits, seemingly overnight.

It's not going to matter who we play if this offense does not improve. Our offensive set up is not good. If you are going to utilize your shooters by sticking them in the corners, you have to have good penetration and kick out. Our guards did little of that. We did not make any adjustments as Bradley was switching on every screen. I don't believe we ever slipped a screen or use screen to screener action. Our offensive game plan is so simplistic as it is like watching a AAU team play. Whitford has not shown me he has the ability to put his players in the best positions to succeed and that simply is poor coaching. This team has some ingredients but unless our staff makes adjustments, it is going to be another long winter in Muncie.
