I'd be interested in any comments about the game. Less interested in opinions on who our coach should be.
A year ago he said he didn't know much about our team and was here to talk about last years game. Then disappears.
Now reappears, suddenly knowledgeable enough to have opinions on our coach who he suddenly knows enough about to "not like" and is part of a discussion of a past coach and thinks we should hire him.

First game of the year against IU should be in Muncie. But...it is not. That being said, IU goes to Indianapolis over confident and after two untimely turnovers that set up easy scores we win 28-24. Take your cameras to remember this win.

I hope your right BSU 0....but I think we simply don't have enough horses and lose 28-20

If we hold iu to 28 then our defense is gonna be a lot better than expected.

Kalen Deboer is an absolutely outstanding OC and with him calling the plays at Fresno State the Bulldogs could put a ton of points on the board against some very solid teams.
I would love to see him as HC at Ball State should Neu not turn things around albeit I believe that Neu deserves 5 full seasons.

How do you do 5 full years without given him an extension? Otherwise he’s lame duck and that’s bad for a program.
Not sure how we go from losing to western Kentucky and getting crushed in most MAC games to being able to beat N.C. state, on the road. I love my school, but how do you explain a leap like that? We don’t have that kind of talent or coaching.

I just read a preview on you guys. I had no idea that you guys had 17 starters back? I really don’t think this is going to be the pushover that some IU fans think it will be. We should be favored but I think you guys will have a better team this season.

Having Mike Debord as the OC the past few seasons was painful. He probably cost us 2 or 3 games with his dink and dunk conservative offense. Deboer is much more aggressive. He will probably test your Secondary early.

Fkfootball - who do you think will be IU’s starting QB in week 1? I imagine we’ll see both QB’s - maybe even 3 QB’s depending on how the game plays out. Penix Jr. seems to be getting most of the hype. IU probably needs him to emerge if you hope to have a dynamic offense and chance against top Big Ten foes. Regardless of who the QB is though, I expect IU will be running down our throat with Stevie Scott.
We do have a lot of returning starters, which gives us some hope, but we have a challenging schedule. I’m cautiously optimistic, but the returning starters and the new guys will have to improve. Also, I don’t have confidence in our QBs and you can’t win games with a below average QB.

I had no idea that you guys had 17 starters back? 17 starters back off a .500 team might be worth worrying about. 17 starters back off a MAC team with a high-water mark of 4 wins in the past three season, not to mention a coaching staff with considerable questions ... not exactly the thing that opposing fans should be losing sleep over.

Also, I don’t have confidence in our QBs and you can’t win games with a below average QB. Ramsey could start. Honestly, he’s pretty solid. He reminds me of Chandler Harnisch that used to play at NIU. Ramsey would be a really good MAC QB. IU fans don’t like him because his arm is average at best. Penix has the size, Arm, and Athletic ability of an NFL prospect. We fought off Florida State to get him. Tuttle is a good prospect too. Whoever wins that job will have a good season. We should be a running team early. With Stevie Scott, Sampson James, and Ronnie Walker, I don’t know why they wouldn’t? That’s one of the best backfields in the Big Ten.
