Wassink? When I think of WMU QB's that were thorn in our sides, I think of Tony Kimbrough. I hated that guy. Tough as nails and a total playmaker. Riley was never the same runner after the Northwestern game. He got blown up at the knees, and limped the rest of the game. I think he lost something then. Confidence? He was talking about Lefever. But yeah kimbrough took our souls. Dan LeFevour was at CMU. Another thorn in our sides.

Running Qb's were a problem for us for many years... CMU/NIU and Western just kept throwing a new one at us for a decade

I think I remember a fumble by Neal at the goal that broke our backs against the Northwestern. I attended that game and one of The Sled regulars (don't want to mention his name without his permission) had everyone to his house near the NU campus. What a great day. Just another reason not to mess with The Sled. I wouldn't pin that one solely on Riley. If I am remembering correctly, it was a QB/ RB exchange issue. We should have won that game going away. Riley was pretty special that game regardless of the numbers.

He’s still making the same mistakes with his feet and with the pocket but I hope he goes out and has a huge game vs. PU.

Vandy lays an egg at Purdue. Is anyone really surprised?

Neal's results for us against the P5 were similiar. He did have 4 completions over 20 yds which to me was something we did not see nor did he run.

I've been as critical of Neal as anybody, but I thought he did pretty good today. 24 points should get it done. He can't do anything about the 42 Purdue hung on Vandy's atrocious defense. I'd think if Riley can play like he did yesterday, the job will be his for the rest of the season. Haven't seen much of Wallace, but haven't been impressed with what I've seen. Vandy fans have a reason to want more than Riley but not sure it's available on the bench. And not sure it even matters if your D is going to give up 500 yards passing to the Purdues of the world. QB play doesn't seem to be their most pressing problem.
