About 2 seasons ago, I projected one from the group of Teague, Gunn, or El Amin I believe would eventually be elected to Ball States HOF.
Sweep laughed at me and thus far largely he’s been correct, but here’s my question:
If Teague continues to lead this team and let’s just say to the NCAA tournament and is ALL MAC first team and in the discussion of MVP MAC does he get elected at some point?

Given BSU's recent laughable inductions, I honestly don't see why not. Teague should have an absolute monster year. He was easily the best player on the court tonight.

one good year does not make a hall of famer or it should not any way.. Id put Moses and or Persons in before Teague and I do not really think either one of them really deserve it

Id put Moses and or Persons in before Teague and I do not really think either one of them really deserve it I agree that's the way it should be, but that's not the way it is. If you look at the folks in our HOF, there are quite a few with comparable or worst career stats than Teague (likely will have) who basically had one big year. I think the question for Teague will be can he actually have one big year. It probably doesn't even have to be a full year; if he can dominate in conference, that's probably enough. An above average year will probably put him in the top 10 all-time in scoring, but I'd say he's more of a compiler overall, not a dominator. He's maybe 300 points from being in the top 10 in career scoring because he's played about every game since he was a freshman, but he's never come close to 500 in a season and he'd have to put up more than 532 to break into the top 20 in single-season scoring. That's not going to happen this year.

Teague has never evolved as a player under this coach. Same bad habits and he is soft. HOF not!

Like seeing LMills stating his points and good post whether Teague achieves or not!

I hate to burst your bubble kid but this team will not win the MAC tournament and go to the NCAA tournament. Teague will have to find some other way into the HOF.

I guess this depends on how many "what ifs" you want to include and how willing you are to lower the threshold for getting in. Persons has a more HOF-worthy career right now statistically. 3rd all time in assists and ninth in scoring in only three years.
So, the question is are you just trying to justify your original post and you want to stretch the boundaries of what's possible or were you five scotches deep when you posted this? Because you and I both know there's not been a HOF player come through this program in 20 years, right?

Well, RC, can you be a bit more factual, what I said was so far Sweep has been right, hello, come in? ? Does that truly sound like I was defending my prediction??? Second, I asked a question IF Teague hits certain marks this year do people think he would qualify, pretty simple? If you don’t agree with me that’s fine but does your insult of I must just have had 5 drinks truly make you feel better? You are seriously off dude. You must be extremely deficient in self esteem!!!

I was completely factual. You said that Sweep had thus far been largely correct....but. Then you hedged your position with a bunch of hypothetical what ifs. Why not just come clean and admit you're prediction was wrong just like your many other predictions of MAC Finals, MAC Championships, NIT bids and the like. And, I'm not the first person to wonder if your posts are fueled by a few drinks. Hell half the Board has said that. But you're right, as usual. My self esteem issues are clearly clouding my judgement.

Offering hypothetical what ifs is a reasonable thing to do on a message board. He essentially said his prediction has been wrong so far, but asked if a hypothetical situation would make his prediction pan out.
