Attendance listed at 4624..Had students not been gone for MLK we might have hit 5000 Once again, best attendance for a MAC school Saturday! Well not every MAC school has the wherewithal to pull off a Faith & Family day, combined with a Code Red Dancer reunion, Spinning basketball halftime show, free bloomin' onions for the first 1,000 students (600 of which probably went unused), and the return of a former favorite play all on one day (although I do not remember them having a Wick's pie giveaway). I'm thinking for our next big promotions, we get Stoops to donate a car, Kroger to donate free food for a year and Community Hospital of Anderson to donate free medical care for a year ... I think those promotions could push us over 6,000.

Acree is starting to come along. Still mystified as to why Thomas hasn’t worked out. You are right. If Thomas ever finds his way our bench would be really good. Would be a nice change of pace off the bench for Mallers. The good news Acree did pretty well defending 3 positions in that role. This isn't the time of year you want to lengthen your bench. Oh, you want to have the depth to call on if needed, but the reality is that right now if Thomas, Kroft, Huggins or Hendriks see minutes in any game in which the outcome in still in doubt ... it means something has gone terribly wrong.

Maybe. Acree coming along very gradually surprised me a little already.
I'd say some of that has been the KJ injury and he was stuck behind KJ.
Hazen, Mallers, Teague need somebody to give them a few more minutes breather as the season goes on. You're probably right, but that means we'll play a very small lineup more minutes than I like.
Although if Acree hits a few shots maybe no problem. He's a little stronger than I expected.

I am happy to see Teague go to the basket and roam the lane. Still perplexed why Bumbalough does not bring the ball up the floor more. Was impressed with the crowd and its energy.

Teague earns MAC player of the week for 4th time this year. Matches a BSU record.
So far this conference season, Teague ranks among the top 10 in the MAC in scoring (17.2), rebounding (9.6), blocks (1.8), steals (1.4) and field goal percentage (.548). Ball State has now accounted for six MAC West Division players of the week this season, with Kyle Mallers and Ishmael El-Amin also winning once each.
