Maybe they stayed in that haunted hotel just south on Mt Unpleasant.
Reminded my of the Western Illinois game. Teams head was elsewhere. That was a disgrace.

Had a family function today so didn’t catch any of the game but obviously 28 turnovers is just inexcusably bad. Sounds like we shot poorly from three too. That’s our profile. When we don’t shoot well and our young guards play too loose we are in trouble. Oh well, three more roadies coming up. If we can go 2-1 in those I’d be happy.

On any given day we can play so poorly that we will lose regardless of how badly our opponent plays. It’s a Whitford staple.

I'm making no excuses as we turned the ball over to many times and shot poorly from 3, however if Whit said in a post game interview that we didn't have enough players to play 5 on 5 in practice I would believe its true...heck, KJ, Gunn, and Kroft are all reported injured....you add the flu or an illness to 1-2 others and you are majorly short which could indeed explain poor play, but we would never let up the staff even if they are 4-2 and even if its true which it likely is

Folks do believe the coach didn’t have 10 players to practice during the week.
Folks don’t believe it was the reason for 28 turnovers and playing so poorly in the 19th game of the season.

Possibly so Tarheel, but if you believe that you gotta believe a short bench and certainly players not feeling well could effect play?

To the tune of 28 turnovers bad? They’d better all be sick.

Last time I went we had 4 guys sitting out and the managers played the role of a scout team. We won that next game. So I guess that excuse is only valid when we lose

If I said something like that at my place of employment I would be fired! You have got to be kidding me! You only need 5 players to play!

Possibly so Tarheel, but if you believe that you gotta believe a short bench and certainly players not feeling well could effect play? There are instances (when your job performance over an extended period of time is <50%) that an employee needs to express some responsibility and stop making excuses. THAT is what is wearing negatively on this microcosm of the fan base. Statistically, Whit is bound to have a good season or even win a tournament game. But when your overall statistics are less than “heads or tails” most folks aren’t buying that our coach is the influencing factor that will raise us up out of this run of mediocrity. He needs someone to pat him on the back and say “good job”. He obviously has the administration and a few loyal followers that are doing an adequate job of filling that role.

Just watched first half. Really disappointed in caring the ball. Head scratcher.. I think that's what the coach said after the game. He wants to watch the video and figure it out. Too much made here about the remark on players being ill.
Players were frustrated at themselves and maybe a bit at a couple of the calls. I thought we'd win this if we shot well. But also thought we'd win an ugly game if it went that way. That wasn't exactly it, though. The ugly was partly due to the opponent, it always is but "head scratcher" is a great remark. I am agreeing with you being disappointed and puzzled by the play.
Poor game by Ish and Mallers shooting and we can't afford that. I don't like missing shots, can accept that as the curse of the 3 point game, but taking bad shots not in the offense is poor play. We needed to do none of that... I give players credit for their intensity on defense and for some reason they were more in synch and made fewer mistakes at that end of the floor.
As it was we were a basket behind in the last few minutes, needed that one burst of good play, it's a game I hate to lose.
Overall nobody should argue with the obvious. Too many turnovers. Missing shots.
