Just sayin this season including all venues I've likely been to more practices than anyone here...lets say 7 or 8...regarding my point of playing short or players being sick I simply won't argue the point...

I agree no one should argue about our poor play simply saying playing short or sick can impact performance...period

Take out the turnovers and the Cards played a decent game. To have 28 turnovers and onLy lose by 5 is unreal. The turnovers are on the players, not the coach. While I am not a big fan of Whit, the players were just to darn careless with the ball, otherwise an easy win.

All they can do is regroup and get better and move forward. It’s early.

To the tune of 28 turnovers bad? They’d better all be sick. More turnovers than this guy...

I just do not like excuses and Whit gives them all the time.. Just be a man and say.. Today we played like crap and if we want to win anything we cant do that. " Do not add the mandatory excuse he always adds. Losing road games is going to happen

Exactly. When we’ve played poorly, say it. When we play great, say it. Instead we just get cliches and process and coach speak. We all have eyes. We can see it when we play poorly. There’s no excuse for slop. Missing shots happens. Slop does not have to happen.
And the short bench is as much a product of recruiting as it is injury/illness. We do not have enough guys you can plug in and get by. There’s like 4 guys we don’t play at all, even in blow outs. That’s recruiting. And being short of guys in practice one week doesn’t mean your team should suddenly forget how to take care of the basketball.

When your overall record at Ball State is underwater, you are not entitled to excuses. Every team in the country has bad games, especially on the road but over his time here, poor inconsistent play like this is his programs norm. Most fans get tired of the same shit. The bottom line is that they should have won if they would have taken care of the ball. This had nothing to do with preparation, it was mental and a lack of leadership and toughness. All program issues.

Hazen was AWOL for the game. Thompson was lackluster. No bench help other than Acree.Acree Is becoming a god player. KJ is MIA. Sad that none of the others proven worthy of playing. Guess recruiting matters.

I agree with many of the things said but when we win...the staff from very few gets any credit but many pile on them with many words whenever there's a loss....
Fact.

Simply stated but we can't win with 28 turnovers but the officiating was so horocius that is was difficult to get into a flow with almost every possession whistled for something. I watched and rewatched the double tech and didn't see anything worthy of a tech or even the players jarring. Although the officiating was lousy it did not cost us the game.

Folks do believe the coach didn’t have 10 players to practice during the week. Folks don’t believe it was the reason for 28 turnovers and playing so poorly in the 19th game of the season. In the Thompson era we were short balls to practice and now we're short players to practice. What next ??
