Look you guys, here is what is going to happen.
1) BSU will finish somewhat above .500 in the MAC regular season. 2) BSU will not win the MAC tourney. 3) BSU will not go to any post season tourney 4) Whitford will be extended due to meeting the minimum requirements of the current administration. 5) Whitford's recruiting dooms the program to mediocrity (at best) for the foreseeable future.
I'm usually reluctant to make predictions due to the inherent unpredictability of sports, let alone make such a series of specific and sweeping predictions. But this all seems so obvious to me. If I have any uncertainty at all, it would probably be that a late-season Whitford collapse could falsify 1, and put 4 and 5 in doubt. But most likely I will go 5 for 5.

It’s gonna happen just as Sherm predicts.

I am beginning to believe that KJ may return this season and if so, in my view that improves our chances in Cleveland!
Say what you like but with KJ we are definitely deeper!
A senior that is athletic, a good defender, can score in transition or slashing, and possibly the best guard rebounder in the MAC!

So KJ is gonna play. Oh he’s not gonna play. Yes he is gonna play. That’s a lot of drama over an ankle that appears to give him no problem in warm ups.

When and if KJ decides to play is the question. Does he try to play through it at 85 90 percent or does he pack it in.

I'm in total denial on #4 (and thus #5 too). My worse case scenario is Whitford is allowed to fulfill his entire contract which makes his last year 2021-22. That will be a totally ugly season where getting 5 wins will be a difficult target to meet.

It is in fairness KJ's senior year, and he has been hurt. I believe everyone including the player may be considering is it in the his best interest and teams to come back and finish this season or go for a 6th year???
I'd personally like him back as I believe he could really help down the stretch but what if in the first or second game back he tweaks it again and is out for the season....a lot of us including me at times make it so easy.....maybe if it were us or our kid we would better understand.

I don't know if it's in his best interest or not, but I'd merely ask KJ if he wants to win, and if he wants to win at Ball State. Because if he wants to win at Ball State, this is the year to play, not next year if .... IF ... he gets a sixth year. He's not going to have anyone playing at Teague's level next year. Even if Bum and Coleman and Ish are all back and improved, there's no indication Hazen or Thomas or Hendriks will even come close to doing what Teague is doing. If KJ wants to win, I think it's either this year at Ball State, or next year somewhere else. As for when another injury might or might not happen, that's living scared. The threat of injury is always out there. If the medical staff has cleared him, another injury could happen in the second game back, or the eighth game next year. It's all a crapshoot. If he's been medically cleared to play, the question is: Do you want to win at Ball State or not?

I tend to agree with today's prior posts but will add the following & assume he is medically cleared to play now. I assume KJ wants to play professionally & if that is the case he will get a lot more looks this yr than next with our team. If he plans to play elsewhere if he gets a 6th yr then say so & good luck.

I want him back this year as his addition would make as deep as we've been in recent memory, and I believe most are beginning to believe that we have our best chance to succeed in Cleveland in a long time as well.

We will go as far as Tahjai can tote us. KJ would be a big boost but at this point I think you have to just plan that is not coming back.

Reality, you could be right but I hope not....with KJ on a neutral court in Cleveland we have a pretty good chance.
