Brady is a real recruiter and a real coach. He has really matured as a coach. This is his best coaching job by far. This team is young and was not expected to do anything.

They are really fun to watch. But just look at next year. Samz is the only one leaving. They're gonna be a force in the MAC.
Smith and Agustsdottir own the paint, Brown can drive, Freeman and Clephane (who was injured last year) can dish... Even Rauch delivers quality minutes.
The freshmen are contributing. The upperclassmen are in sync.
And Sallee... hell, I could just watch him the whole game and be entertained.

Last season was clearly the rebuilding outlier. Back to a 13-5 type of MAC campaign that we are used to in the Sallee era.
Hopefully with this current roster they are less snakebitten in Cleveland.

Would like to agree, but this is a young roster. Several young gals playing and only one or two upper classmen that contribute. I like Brady's coaching, but last year really falls on him for the lack of talent that we had after a big graduation year. That said, however, recruiters recruit and he did and has really developed this bunch.

Don’t forget his point guard went graduate transfer unexpectedly on him last year. She went to Ohio st. He thought she’d be back last year. Left him in a bit of a bind late.

I know and understand that, but that was only a very small part of the team only going 8-23. Again, I really like his coaching, but we just had a year where we didn't have squat and winning 8 might have been from him being a good coach. Did have the injury to the gal from Kentucky, too, but that would not likely have made too much difference either. We lost Morrison one year and Monaco the next and we just seemed to bottom out. Again, he did a great job regrouping and seems to have two really good talents coming in next year.

The ladies took out NIU last night. Jumped out to a big lead early, then gave it up, ended up winning 97-89.
Freeman at the point is phenomenal. The way they get up the floor, and ball movement on offense is impressive to watch.
They've got to be one of the favorites to win the MAC, and should be at least on the bubble for an at-large bid.

Great streak for the Cards.
Does MAC and “at-large bid” even coexist in NCAA circles?

Probably not. Need to win the tournament and although I love this team, I'm not sure I see them doing that. They've pretty much assured themselves of a first round bye, though, which sure helps.

Great streak for the Cards. Does MAC and “at-large bid” even coexist in NCAA circles? I think the only way the MAC gets an at-large bid is if CMU wins out until the championship game and loses then. It'd be hard for the NCAA to keep a 5-loss team that goes undefeated in conference play out of the tournament. But the NCAA and selection committees have done stupider shit than that in the past.

I agree. CMU would be around a 9 seed if the NCAA tournament started today. BSU will safely make WNIT, obviously have to win 3 in Cleveland to make the dance.
