Numbers To Noodle:
We are 7-5 in MAC, with 3 away games and 3 home games remaining
Cards are 5-1 at home and 2-4 on the road. Opponent strength seems not to be an overwhelming factor in our late runs.
Statistically we should win 2 of our remaining home games and 1 of our road games.
That would leave us with a 10-8 conference record.

The program since 2015-16 minus last season's MAC meltdown is the equivalent of a NFL team that's always 9-7 but not taken seriously as a contender on a greater level.

Let's hope the yahoos on the BOT and the AD don't fall for this extension crap. We need a coach that is a teacher...that can teach the fundamentals of basketball...in other words a coach that COACHES. We need a couple of assistants that can recruit two legit D-1 players per year. Tell me if I am asking too much. If I am, then IMHO, we should drop this athletic charade that we are acting out and spend the athletic budget to line the sidewalk leading up to Bennie with tulips.

Is Shitbird anywhere close to getting fired? Would losing out do the trick? I haven't followed the program as closely this season; tired of boring, ugly basketball.

Given the budget situation at bsu it seems pretty unlikely whit would be fired after this season.

Whitford will be the Dean of MAC Coaches before he exits the ivy lined walkways of the Brothers of Ball.

We’re so strapped right now football graduate assistants can get promoted up to QB coach
Unless a donor feels strongly enough to kick in some cash to buyout Whitford’s contract. We’ll end up a couple games above .500. Good enough.....

So what do we do? Just wait until Shitbird's contract is up and then send him packing? Has anyone ever done that, anywhere?
And why is the budget so bad? All the years of no one going to games finally catching up with us?

The entire university budget is very tight right now. The athletic dept. doesn’t generate the kind of revenue needed to buy people out. We are absolutely shoestringing it.

All the years of no one going to games finally catching up with us? But, but, but.... we will HAVE to extend him so that it doesn’t affect our recruiting. Maybe the AD steps in and implements the “Sherman Plan” and hires some young gun as Associate Coach in ‘21 to absorb Whit’s Wisdom before taking over in ‘22 🤔
