Didn't listen to the whole game, but wondered the same thing. He just seem to disappear after having like 12 at halftime. Guys on the radio kept talking about Mallers being gassed. Kinda wondered if that was just during the game or if that is kinda a seasonal status with him ? He and Hazen play hard, but Hazen keeps passing up shots and Mallers has some good nights and others that aren't so good. When Hazen gets the ball underneath, he takes so long to get himself and the ball to the hoop he gets blocked 90% of the time. A total disappointment. Agree here. Hazen takes awhile to gather himself and then is very tentative. Doesn’t offer much on offense. Not at all the player I thought he’d be coming in. (How many times could we say that about players over Whits tenure?).

I could be wrong but if I remember correctly Mallers fla mb ed out last year too. He started the year and conference well but faded down the stretch as did the rest of the team.

Mallers have a conditioning issue? I think the whole team does. In fact, the whole athletic dept may.

If correct, could Buffalo have made a halftime game plan adjustment? 🤔 Speaking of Halftime, now that we’ve moved from delusional elation toward realistic mediocrity, I’m missing those over-the-top argument threads for my sporting entertainment.

He was hard nosed and had very good hands and was very decisive and confident when he played. You don't see any of that now. Here is an example of a young man who needs to spend hours in the weight room daily to add some bulk. A little late now. Again, Whitford's philosophy in weight training is terribly flawed. We look so frail compared to everyone we play.

I would think Hazen and even Mallers could add to their game by adding some size.

Whitford doesn’t believe in bulk. He won't even shop at Costco.
