Maybe the boys will win the Mac tourney for him.
He was a true Cardinal.

When I was just at the EMU game, I saw Morry's banner and thought about him and wondered how he was doing.
We will certainly never see his like again.
Love ya Morry

And every other Muncie-area team, really. I would also imagine he called a LOT of those old BSTC games for little or nothing. RIP.

He was the voice of my Bearcats, and any local team that made a tourney run.

Bearcats used to be dominant until the government regulators got involved.

I did too. While I was in college during the '88-'89 and '89-'90 seasons, I'd listen to the away games while I worked evenings in a warehouse. There were a lot of times that work would stop during a particularly tense moment in the game, and then we'd all cheer when it went our way. Curse when it didn't. For me, Morry's voice was synonymous with those teams. He narrated some of the best moments of my life. Sad day, indeed.

Met Morry back in the early 70’s when I came back from the Army and the War in SE Asia to finish my undergrad.
He taught a Speech Class I took and we became friends and kept casual contact at alumni events and more so for the 12 years I served on the Cardinal Varsity Club BOD.
I always enjoyed our conversations and he was always a big fan/supporter of Ball State athletic’s and the university in general.
Sad to learn of his passing.
Would like to read his obituary if someone in Muncie area would post!
