For the 6th time this season Teague selected player of the week. Pretty good chance of POTY!!!

I’ve held my belief he’s 1st team All Mac and given 6th time player of week it seems all but certain! POTY up in the air.

The NIU finale and another weekly honor are hopefully a nice, fresh reminder for coaches/voters of the player he has has been and can be. Certainly a boost for first-team chances. POTY still a long shot I think but who knows.

Ball State will need to win the conference tournament for POTY going to Teague. Probably needs BSU to win at least one game in the tournament for first team honors.

Isn’t that voted on before the tourney?

Right now if I had to choose for Taj to be POTY, or MAC Tournament MVP ... I'm going for MVP, as that would mean very good things for the Cards.

Isn’t that voted on before the tourney? Oops, you are correct. Forget my theory on winning tournament games.

I hope Teague gets recognized for his strong season. He deserves it.

Deserves 1st team. Deserves being candidate for POTY. He's been really strong on the boards and on defense.

Sixth POW and the third seed locks him in as a first teamer. I think POY is a long shot.

He is a no doubt about it 1st team all MAC player. Now let's see if he has some Steve Payne in him and win the MAC Tournament Outstanding Player Award and carry the Cardinals into the NCAA tournament.

It would be nice to see that kind of play in a MAC tourney. In some ways like Payne. Big impact on boards and defense. He has never shown as much in terms of pure physical power inside or intensity throughout his career for sure. More talent with the ball, more versatile as a defender. If only he regularly hit that 3 ball he could be an NBA level 3 and D player.

If only someone would have recruited more front court help that didn't need three years to develop. As it stands, I don't think Tahjai is an NBA caliber talent. The big kid from Eastern may get a shot in the NBA D league.
