Reports out of ECU indicate Brady was indeed trying to get more money for assistants. Supposedly wanting to bring his brother Jon on board who is making $750k at South Carolina as co-defensive coordinator. Ga. Southern coach chosen as Tulane's new coach. Brady was somewhat in the running for this position. Two jobs remaining open are BYU (leaning to Navy coach) and now Ga. Southern who would prefer an upper level FCS coach wanting to move up. I will be surprised if the Navy coach goes to BYU. He has a pretty sweet situation in Annapolis, but money talks. If Niumatalolo were to take BYU, that could open Navy to talk with Brady Hoke. Navy is a 501c3, unlike AFA and West Point. I wonder how that not for profit status would impact coach and assistant coach salaries.

Most articles have been suggesting that BH is, due to his lack luster record, destined for a mid-major program yet his sights are on a Power 5 conference. Good luck to him, but the UM $$ will be a comfort. His agreement requires that he look for work in coaching or media in order to continue receiving the separation payout.

Wait a minute..... McNeill was fired for a 5-7 season in 2015 while also beating instate rivals and going to 4 bowl games in 6 years? WTF is Lembo and his staff still doing here?? Can we get McNeil to Muncie ASAP??

I intended to say the $1.5 million buyout is why we have Lembo, but it's inexcusable that we will likely not replace Lynch or Kelly given we regressed on both sides of the ball from a rebuilding 2014. McNeill is certainly an intriguing name for when we reach a breakeven buyout point with Lembo. ECU wouldn't have been 5-7 if they hadn't lost Shane Carden prior to the start of the season. Easily 7 wins, possibly 8. Would be consider a MAC school compared to a school on the coast? I'm not sure of the answer.

They spend substantially more on football. ECU Financial InfoThat, not the location of the MAC, is a pretty good reason we would not be able to hire him...

''Keep the Faith Brother''...don't sell Peter short. He hasn't forgot how to coach, we will score (offensive line willing), and with a little luck our defense may be better than we all think come next September. (I feel like Ben Crenshaw when he was captain in Boston at the Ryder Cup)

If the defensive staff is the same, don't expect much improvement.
