Conference call earlier today regarding the return of on-campus sports. "The College Football Playoff Management Committee had a conference call with Vice-President Mike Pence about the status of the college football season. They made one thing clear." "According to Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowslby, the commissioners are not on board with student athletes participating in contests until all students are allowed back on campus. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, schools are going virtual with classes and meetings and college football, like all sports, is currently on hiatus."247sports.com/Article/Coronavirus-CFP-College-Football-Playoff-committee-Mike-Pence-Vice-President-college-football-season-146089992/From the CBSSports report on the meeting: "Our players are students. If we're not in college, we're not having contests," said Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby, who was on the call." "Our message was, we need to get universities and colleges back open, that we were education-based programs, and we weren't going to have sports until we had something closer to normal college going on."
