Yep college sports as we know them are dying. Accelerated by the current crisis. Sad. University of Cincinnati is currently operating with a $250 million athletics deficit. Just cut mens soccer. $250mm doesn't sound right. Maybe $25mm? Their total budget is "only" $62mm.

Its not just football though if schools have to drop below the 16 required sports and the ncaa does not bend the rules for them.. They have to drop out of conferences that money is still kicked back to the higher schools It is going to be a problem for all the MAC schools. Just losing their usual amount of money the MAC will hang on. With a season cancelled they may not be able to do that.
The commissioners of the Group of 5 conferences are jointly asking to waive the FBS 16 sport rule and minimum attendance rule for 4 years.
If they don't get what they ask, what choice will they have. The conference could not survive, won't be just an isolated indvidual school dropping out of the conference.
