If everyone cancels Non Con ND may need some games Assuming the MAC is not part of the everyone and also cancels non conference games, if every big conference does it there will be a lot of those second tier conferences losing money games.

I am being told that the Basketball game was planned and agreed upon before the football decision and its purely coincidental that the news broke today.

Could you play non con games if a school wanted too. Can a conference stop you? Mac Like schools need these games. So the big 10 can send teams hundreds of miles too play rutgers but an IU or Michigan cant have BSU bus a couple hours too play. I think its more about Money for the big 10 as it is about safety.. I think they have decided there will be no or limited fans. Without selling the tickets or having concessions they know the BSU's are not worth it

Good question.
But the decision of the conference to cancel games is done by the ADs, really the Presidents.
If most conferences went that way, I don't see the MAC Presidents not doing so.
Endanger their students for filthy lucre their motive?

What I noticed in the linked article was Reggie Jones being referred to as a graduate transfer, while Jalen Windham still awaiting a ruling from the NCAA on his eligibility for 2020-21. Can we interpret this to mean that Jones finished-up some college credits over the past few months, enough to actually finish his undergraduate degree?

The MAC usually follows the B1G, so I expect us to play only conference games this year.

Payout for this game is 70,000 dollars big difference in basketball and football A home FB game completing a season ticket package for a B10 school generates a lot more revenue for the host school! We share the wealth I guess.
We also have smaller expenses but no question we net a bigger profit on the FB game. BB can survive without this money game. FB needs it to hang on.

Football needs it to hang on? How do you figure? Since football lost two payout games this year, is it NOT going to hang on?
You are wrong. football has everything it needs to hang on....access into the pockets of the students and taxpayers.
