So, with the Big10 playing only conference games, will we see a full slate of conference games? Could be interesting?

So, with the Big10 playing only conference games, will we see a full slate of conference games? Could be interesting? If we added 2 conference games to fill the schedule it would be interesting, and maybe the future when we are no longer FBS, and there is abatement of the virus as a factor.
But, one more MAC home date doesn't add much revenue.
Besides, the idea of cutting schedules is to reduce exposure to the teams and staff and allow universities to be able to mitigate risks more easily.
Adding back games would be contrary to that.

the SEC commish was on ESPN radio this morning and was asked what his concern level was for football in the SEC in the fall and he answered "High to very high." If that's how the SEC views things where it goes Football, God, Country, then I just don't see it happening this fall.

With nothing else to do this morning, I did a little research for giggles and grins. I looked at who else lost Big Ten games on 9/12 and 9/19 and would be potentially attractive opponents - e.g. G5 schools, close proximity. For 9/12 - there's WKU at IU and Memphis @ Purdue. For 9/19 - there's Arkansas State @ MI and Appalachian State @ WI. And if the SEC goes Conference Games Only route, there's Arkansas at Notre Dame on 9/12.
On 9/26, I would also look at postponing the Wyoming game and substituting University of Cincinnati, who was scheduled to go to Lincoln on that day to play Nebraska.
Did not consider other ramifications or where games were played. Just an exorcise for a bored mind.
At this point, things don't look too good for any games.

It's amusing how the dim-wittedness of the local MAC sports media enables the MAC schools to keep the football financial situation sort of on the down low. For example, dipshit StarPress sports writer Jordan Guskey can write an entire article concerning MAC sports finances without ever mentioning the basic overall financial situation. In fact, he instead prints something that is actively misleading...fed to him by Goetz:
Goetz said Ball State, one of four MAC programs that had scheduled two Big Ten opponents in football, counts on that revenue as part of its operating budget. It helps in BSU’s effort to balance that budget, just as it did when it reported to the NCAA the BSU football program accepted $1.8 million in guarantees in the 2019 fiscal year from its games against Notre Dame and IU. That $1.8 million represented about 6.5 percent of the revenue Ball State Athletics reported, with revenues and expenses overall each totaling close to $28 million.
The budget is only "balanced" in the sense that a huge subsidy is paid in student fees and is a major part of the $28 million "revenue" that "equals" the costs and covers a huge shortfall in real revenue.
Nice reporting there, Ace. Apparently it wasn't covered in your journalism classes that public figures may not always tell you the exact truth.
When you consider the lost pay out games, and the reduced live gate (pathetic as it already was), I'm sure MAC football will set a new record for losing money this year. In fact, I wonder if such a record may be set even if they cancel the season. There is a huge sunk cost (which now includes COVID testing and so forth) already committed. and this at a time when the schools can least afford it. Maction!

Now that we can schedule two FCS games, I would be on the phone to Western Illinois. Their 9/12 game with Washington of the PAC 10 has been canceled.

So you want to pay someone to come here and play to substitute for a money game?
Let's sue IU and UM for the "guarantee" as the better bet.
