Talk is heating up about the MAC maybe moving to spring.. This is all based on rumor and sources and seems to be only being reported by one guy.. The guy is a legit NCAA reporter though so there might be some truth to it. All signs point to NIU leading the charge they just do not want to move forward. If things are moved to spring every good player in the MAC is going to hit the transfer portal

Could this have been known for a while at NIU thus explaining their large number of transfers this off season

While I think every thing will be eventually axed. Im going to hate NIU more if they kill football for the MAC

No way! Northern needs to go back to being an independent if that’s what they want to do.

It’s inevitable that the MAC will have to suspend football this fall. Remains to be seen whether that’s now or September.

The cost of testing for all these sports has to be astronomical. To think the leagues are just going to suck it up is pretty naive. Those costs are going to be passed along to someone somewhere.

They're not finding anyone to pass it on to.

I just making an educated guess here but Id imagine there are some late night calls going on between various university presidents.. Id guess there will be a vote tomorrow but the vote really has nothing to do with covid or safety. It really is all about finances.

Today, 08:37 AM Big Sky and MVFC voted on the move yesterday. Colonial had previously voted to suspend for fall. Other conferences will follow suit now that the three juggernauts are out for fall

It's the way University Presidents make decisions so often. "Everyone else does is it" is safe.

It's the way University Presidents make decisions so often. "Everyone else does is it" is safe. So when do you think they make the call on cancelling basketball? Since it's indoors the risk of transmission is an order of magnitude higher.
