Sadly I agree. I feel like, as hard as it would be for the seniors And the potential this team has, that it would be better off just moving on from the 2020 season as to not ruin two seasons instead of one. Let’s be sad for a while and then get pumped for the return of the Cardinals in 2021. I can’t wait to be at Happy Valley.

The MAC presidents are big on fashionable posturing but like weak leaders everywhere, they follow the guideline "Never be seen in the same room as a decision "
The more you think about Mac spring football, the more ridiculous you realize it is. It's simply a dodge to avoid the appearance of a decision. Ain't happening

If they want to play 11-12 games including a championship game, not to mention any Bowl games, all before graduation or shortly after it, they would have to start practice in January. Even 8-10 games would mean February practices.

An indoor practice facility would be useful.

Short season, four to five games, maybe just division. You could than do a conference championship game. Do this versus spring training. Could be fun.

Starting the season on March 1st would give us weather similar to November, April is similar to October, May a little less warm than September.
Practice would be a bitch without an indoor facility. Then you you have to find indoor turf practice slots for soccer, field hockey, softball and baseball if the late January and February weather is crappy (it's Indiana). Some athletes will have to schedule afternoons classes to get morning practices and conditioning out of the way.
Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball all will be contending for court time, along with gymnastics meets using Worthen.

I wonder how many players would want to burn a year of eligibility just to play 4 or 5 games? Wouldn't it be better to red-shirt (assuming you can do so, and I bet they are going to be lenient on this) and come back in the fall and play 12+ (again assuming anyone plays in the fall of 2021) games? Now maybe if the NCAA comes out and says playing 4 or 5 games in the spring of 2021 doesn't count as a year of eligibility used; that would be a different story.

I suspect that the costs will be more than any revenue produced so why not wait until fall of 21. I don't see any way projected NFL players will play in the spring.
I guarantee if the schools that play this fall play the entire schedule they won't play until next fall which means any MAC teams playing ACC,SEC or B12 schools in the fall of 21 are going to be at a disadvantage.

Allow me to just say, without blaming anyone or advocating any particular position, that this is a huge f------ mess.
