Maybe Gruden will actually have him in the game plan.

Much better place for him than Baltimore. That offense with Lamar Jackson wasn't great for his production. I think he will do well in Las Vegas.

Glad he got out of Baltimore. WR's aren't exactly beating the door down to play with Lamar Jackson.

TY is in a little different place than Willie. It's his last season or two and he was offered a couple of years and more than 10 mil guaranteed. That would make up for whatever is lacking otherwise.

I can still see Willie catching those fades in the corner of the end zone from Keith. Everyone knew that play was coming but could not stop it. One of the best teammate combos in Ball State history.

Teams and WRs do strange things IMO.
If I was Sammy Watkins, I don't know why I would would sign with the Ravens for a 1-year deal. TY would have slotted into Willie's role in all likelihood. Watkins is likely no better than 70 catches, 800 yards next year. Not exactly the type of stats that are going to get you a big contract the following year. Think I would have taken a lower offer to stay with the Chiefs.
And if you're the Ravens, why are you offering a supposedly big contract (since the Colts signed TY for $10 million, I'm assuming the Ravens contract was similar?) to an over-the-hill Hilton, instead of going directly after a younger Watkins who you got for $6 million.

T.Y. is on record saying he would have earned more on the day he signed the Ravens contract than he will on his 1-year deal with the Colts. So that means he was looking at a $10 million+ signing bonus on probably a 2-or-3 year deal. Watkins is lucky to get what he got. Since 2016 he's averaged 527 yards per season and has only caught more than 3 TDs once, and that includes 3 seasons with Patrick Mahomes as his QB. He's not great. Spotrac has a neat feature that calculates a WR's market value based on their production and comparison to similar players. They have Willie's fair market value at 3 years for $21.8 million. Will be interesting to see what he got from the Raiders.

As ''Deep Throat'' said ''Follow the money'' When they (who ever they are) say it is not about the money, it is about the money.

Man, Spotrac shows that Willie's deal w/ the Raiders is for 1 year and $1.12 million. There must have been absolutely no market for him. That's tough.
