You clearly have a burr up your butt about the baseball program. MAC baseball is very good, and we are in the hunt nearly every year. Our players are excellent representatives of the university. We fared very well in a very tough non-conference slate - stumbled at ODU due to some injuries, uncharacteristic fielding errors, and lack of timely hits. If you want to pick on a coach and program, the basketball board would be a much better place to frequent. WTF?

I'll illustrate my point. If you are in an 11 team league and you play each team 4 times, and you following what I have been saying, you'll get this: 11 Team 4-Game Round Robin Team 1 | 2 | 2 |
| Team 2 | 2 | 2 |
| Team 3 | 2 | 2 |
| Team 4 | 2 | 2 |
| Team 5 | 3 | 1 |
| Team 6 | 3 | 1 |
| Team 7 | 3 | 1 |
| Team 8 | 4 | 0 |
| Team 9 | 4 | 0 |
| Team 10 | 4 | 0 |
| W-L | 29 | 11 | .725 |
It is barely good enough to win the MAC over the past four full seasons Best Record, Last 4 Seasons2019 CMU 22-5 .815 2018 Kent St 19-8 .704 2017 Kent St 18-6 .750 2016 Kent St 20-4 .833 This is why you have to dominate your bottom third tier. Maybe WMU and Toledo are mid-tier, but I'm really doubting that. And you think I'm being critical of Maloney?

Four-game series and 7-inning games are anything but normal. You are obviously ignoring results of everyone else I've posted. I'm well aware of past league results. I'll be shocked if the league winner hits a 70% winning percentage this year. I'd also be shocked if anyone sweeps 3 4-game game series, but they might. No one has swept a series yet. No one. You factor in cold weather, wind, overzealous covid scanning, 7 inning games, and 4-game series, and this year is bound to be wacky. For example, Kent beat the #2 team in the country and has stunk ever since. CMU split with OU, which is typically middle to bottom tier (though they do have one stud pitcher, so they may get at least a win in every series) Dude, every one of your posts have strong negative undertones. We split at #10 AZ without having one outdoor practice. We took 2 of 3 on the road against two solid ballclubs in Bradley and KY. You act like we lost 3 of 4 or split with WMU and Toledo. We may not win the league, but 3 of 4 does not indicate the sky is falling, especially when you look at what has happened so far around the league. I'd like to think we haven't even hit our hot streak yet - it sure would be nice to see that the last month of the season. Maloney teams typically finish very strong.

Cards end up taking 3 of 4 with a Navarro walkoff HR today. I would of really liked to have swept 1 of the first 2 opponents because the second half of the MAC schedule is much tougher on paper than the first half, but most importantly they didnt split either series. Really needed to sweep WMU and Toledo. They are two of the weakest programs in the MAC this year. With no MAC Tourney and 40 games determining your fate, you have to capitalize early. I think sweeping 1 with a 7-1 start would of been just fine, western could be a mid tier MAC team. That said still 80% of season left. Next 4 series are important to thrive in because it gets challenging starting with @cmu May 9th.
