I think Gunn can be a scorer in the right D2 program. If he goes to another D1 I wish him the best but suspect he won't play any more than he did here,

Gunn announced today he entered the grad transfer portal. God bye and good luck, now let’s get someone who can contribute to the team! So, Boogie & Gunn (sounds like a buddy cop show) schollies are now available BUT our high school recruit options are too late unless you want another Hendricks or Huggie. That leaves the Transfer Portal and frankly you need immediate help so that means a grad transfer BUT what grad transfer would be dumb enough to join this team given everything we lost and we are in rebuild mode?

Somebody sitting the bench the past 3 yrs at a D1. Such as Cooper Neese at ISU who is looking for a place where he can shoot. Still want us to offer Tre Williams to get a big body & rebounder. I keep thinking he will end up at Ohio or Miami.

I keep thinking he will end up at Ohio or Miami. Yeah, our 10-13 record and 90% of our scoring and 70% of our rebounding gone would fire me up as a transfer. Any decent grad transfer is looking for a team on the verge who needs one more piece. We need a bunch.

With the rebuild we need any grad transfer we pick up will probably not be a difference maker. I’d rather look at jucos at this point.

Actually they are talking like the ncaa is going to grant any transfer a one time exemption from having to sit out.

I have nothing bad to say about Gunn but I do recall some posters were all worried about his commitment because he was waiting for the big one. Either Indiana or Butler (or both).

Whitford should run for Congress the way he implemented Gunn control.

Actually they are talking like the ncaa is going to grant any transfer a one time exemption from having to sit out. I hadn't heard that, but it certainly makes the Coleman transfer make more sense. Otherwise, Coleman would need to sit next year at wherever he transfers losing 1 of the 3 years of eligibility he has remaining. I wonder if the NCAA doesn't follow through on this, Coleman would stay at BSU for one more year? He could then transfer out as a graduate transfer (assuming he has done the course work to graduate in 4 years) and still have 2 years to play somewhere else.
