Color me surprised. A covid eligible senior who has elected to play at another school. Way to go Half-Whit!
Where is the loyalty, esprit de corps, the semper fidelis for the Ball State basketball team that Half-Whit has inspired? Are we looking at it?

Dude has already played college basketball through three presidential administrations.

I see no reason to show loyalty towards a coach who can't get his own players to be loyal.
The time for change is now.

I see no reason to show loyalty towards a coach who can't get his own players to be loyal. The time for change is now. You’re not wrong. Ish wanted out last year too, just didn’t get any good takers. Whit was basically giving Coleman the keys to the car and gas money and Coleman still bailed quickly. Either Coleman knows Whitford runs a loser program or Whitford has zero ability to even persuade guys he gave the chance to do whatever they want to stay with him and help him build a winner. Yeah, I know, we’re going to talk about it’s happening everywhere. I get that. But I’ll also say it’s highly doubtful Whitford gives these guys much of a pitch to stick with him. Why would they, even after being showcased at bsu. There’s no payoff in terms of winning something or a guarantee of not stagnating in their development. He doesn’t inspire.

Since the MAC dropped it's in conference transfer rule he could go to another MAC school and win a championship.

OK guys, this kid is athletic, good rebounder, mad hops and averaged about 15 a game. We need to go after him.

These kids are essentially free agents now and the expected one year moratorium on having to sit out a year is wreaking havoc on programs. Now, how many of those kids in the portal this year land somewhere “better” remains to be seen.
I just know this, I’d sure as hell hate to lose one of my best players to say, Miami, down the line. Or maybe even worse, Toledo.

Yes, absolutely. He has no ability to hit any of them but he can shoot them as much as you like. According to his high light video, he hits every three he attempts...
