Lembo just called a successful fake punt pass from the punter to a walk on receiver (first ever reception) completed for a 50+ yd TD. So... Carolina is only down 38-14 now. Lol. I don't remember Pete calling anything remotely as creative back in his BSU days...

Hes found his fit as a special teams coach. Its a shame that he couldn't win with his recruits but it was best that he walked away because BSU would of had to buy the final 2 years out if he had stayed put.

Pete is anything but pathetic. That's a shot at his character that just isn't warranted.

He gave up on us but that turned out to be a blessing in disguise cause he was done here a couple more years of end Pete and we still might be digging out. That being said he was by all accounts a good human and never did anything to our name

That being said he was by all accounts a good human and never did anything to our name I'm sure I don't know the relevant details, don't bear any ill-will toward Pete. My recollection is basically that he realized he couldn't succeed and so he left. That's probably better than hanging on desperately to your job and making a million excuses for your failures and accepting unwarranted contract extensions for the sole reason that the school can't afford and doesn't have the guts to let you go. I hope we never have the opportunity to compare the two options.

Pete had two major downfalls as a head coach. First, he had his system that he had used for years. When it failed he could not pivot. Two, he was a defeatist in the recruiting world. He believed there was a "food chain" in recruiting, so you didn't go after players out of your league - ever.
As a person, Pete was/ is a fabulous human. He was smart to get out when he did and he did himself and BSU a favor in the process (as Jackson stated).
