Scott Baker closes the game and Ball St. wins 9-6! Onwards! Persistence. These guys don't give up. Two to four games to get (hopefully only two).

Cards led Akron 8-1 in the ninth. Gave up 8 runs to the Zips and now must win against the Zips tonight to play in the championship tomorrow.

Cards score 4 in the bottom of the ninth, all with 2 outs, to beat the Zips 9-8. Plesac singles in the winning run.
Earlier today, BSU lost 9-8 after giving up 8 runs in the 9th. In tonight's game, the Cards had 4 errors by the fifth inning and trailed 5-0 at one point.
Absolutely crazy day of baseball.

I don't know about you, but the announcers left much to be desired, especially in the ninth inning of the first game. The color guy was over the top with dramatics.

Wow! 8 runs. I'll give credit to the Zips, but what an expensive loss. Hard to win 3 in a row instead of just needing one win for a championship. Quite a lesson for the future and if we can do it, a great story. Cards led Akron 8-1 in the ninth. Checked the score in last night's game after an evening out; the Cards were down 8-5 in the 8th. I thought I would log in this morning to read about the loss. What a comeback after the awful afternoon loss. These Cards would not quit.
Go get the Bobcats! The game will be on ESPN 3 at noon Eastern.

Well, it was a nice run, I guess. An unearned run in the first after yet another error set the tone early in this one. I'm kind of surprised these guys made it as far as they did; they were very sloppy all week.

Bobcats win. Really have to hand it to Ohio, they played with extreme passion this weekend and were well-deserved winners of the MAC.
