The only thing we have to worry about today is Whitford’s halftime adjustments…..

Good first half.. No complaints. Spoke with some ISU fans today pre game. They are not thrilled with this year's team

This 1 point win will be very frustrating.

Good win, back to football. You said something similar for the Omaha game….queue the ISU run coming out of the timeout….

Who else thinks this will be the only year we see Sparks in a Cardinal uniform? I hope not but for a freshman he seems to be playing above expectations.

When’s the last time BSU won over ISU by 22??
It’s fair to say we’ve been getting better every game

Sure and it’s also fair to say Isu is a dumpster fire for this year.

Regardless of the quality of the opponent, hard not to feel good after an ass-thumping of the Sycamores. The following observations:
1) In spite of adding Acree today, Whitford seems to have thinned his rotation earlier this year. In past years he seemed to give everyone a chance to fail early in the season, then buried them on the bench later. This year he has already apparently eliminated Soukas, Hendriks, Huggins, and until today Acree.
2) Never let Bumbalough shoot technical fouls. If Windham is on the court, I suggest let him. Bumbalough just can't hit free throws consistently. Missing 3 of 4 in that one trip to the line today was epic.
3) I get nervous when anyone but Jacobs is running the point. Whenever Cochran is PG, I'm just waiting for a bad turnover. When Bumbalough is PG, it seems he gets either trapped by bigger guards or attempts to penetrate and again gets stopped by bigger guards.
4) I'll commend The Kid's scouting reports on Sparks. He is indeed better than I expected. It's just we have been let down so many times, I just assumed this would be another one. I do think he'll get into foul trouble against better MAC Centers. I don't think we have enough size against the Buffalo's of the MAC with Thomas, Pearson, and Jihad as a front court. Whitford really should be getting Huggins some minutes in these nonconference games. I just fear Huggins will be needed in conference games and will not be ready because he wasn't used in the nonconference.
5) The team does seem to generally be getting better. Loved the low turnover total today. This isn't typical Whitford. I just wonder if Linc Darner is part of this?

It’s always good to kick snot out of ISU, regardless. Absolutely. I’m just not going to confuse ISU with a decent MAC team. This year it turns out they were a nice post thanksgiving cupcake. Gotta beat ‘em when we can.
Keep getting better. Weed out the guys who just aren’t going to play. And yes, get Huggins reasonable minutes.

I know you can’t compare scores but for fun #3 Purdue beat ISU by 23!

My main takeaway from today— we shitcanned a team we should have. That’s good.
