I hope Luke Brown is happy with his ill fated transfer decision, because he is now stuck with this mess for the next four years.

Yes, and against Western Illinois and Xavier we hardly guarded the 3; we were torched by both teams! We also have way to many turnovers as Cochran who plays PG some is simply not a PG! Maybe Luke Brown could help here.

"We didn't play well. We didn't play well at all. It reminded me of the Michigan Tech game for us. We digressed quite a bit. I told the team this reminded me of the Michigan Tech game. One of our DNAs is when things get hard, we try to do too much individually on offense. We let the bad offense affect us defensively. We worked really hard to get that out of our system. We did that some at Georgia Southern and we've been getting better at executing and playing together in adverse situations. We really regressed from the four-minute mark. Some of it was they are very good. For a lot of our guys this was a big stage, In front of a big crowd, on national TV, and I thought some of it was the nerves and jitters. My message to them was we got a lot better from the Michigan Tech game."
Whitford sounds like a random fan who has no clue how to fix this mess.................
He had an entire week to prepare for this game and completely shit the bed.

"We digressed quite a bit." I hate it when my teams can't stay on topic. You expect it on a message board, though...

If we forfeit the rest of the season due to COVID what would that do to Whitford's contract? Just wondering what stunts he might pull next.

The truth of the matter is Whit in my mind has always been a basketball team manager operating over his head & trying to hide it. He lacks the ability to be a leader & there fore recruits a team which he has little control of. The result is the alpha on the team controls it. Luckily for Whit Pearson was there for 3 yrs or he would already be gone. I hate to watch where this team goes & also suspect an athletic dept with no money won't fire a coach with multiple yrs on a contract. He should have never been hired & has done nothing to warrant any additional time here.

You can’t learn feel for the game by studying theory or using analytics. He has no feel for game. No rhythm. And we play like that. Disjointed and haphazardly.

“There are a lot of things I’m proud of and yet the ultimate goal for us is to get to the NCAA tournament,” Whitford said. “We’ve gone from an F to a B, and now we’ve got to get from a B to an A and how we get there, that’s the challenge for us. That’s the thing that I think about all the time is that our level, getting to the NCAA tournament is the Holy Grail and that’s certainly the one thing that we haven’t accomplished that I think about every day.”
You better think some more Jimmy, because this program is nowhere near a B.
