Well shit now you guys have me second guessing my decision to go... looks and sounds like an adventure If I’ve learned one thing reading this board for the last 15+ years it is not to listen to a word anyone on here says.

After the experience I had at a red light today, I feel a surprise is in store for the game tomorrow. I feel optimistic for some reason.
I have a BSU license plate holder on my car. I’m stopped at a light and a black Cadillac pulls up to me and tells me to roll my window down. A man is smiling ear to ear and tells me he’s from Muncie and I said that’s pretty cool. He then tells me he’s Bonzi’s cousin and he didn’t know there’s BSU fans in Jacksonville, FL. The man had Marines decals on his car and was very pleasant to talk to. Can anyone confirm this was actually Bonzi’s cousin? Haha! Anyway, that nice experience has me feeling good about the Xavier game.
Now, if you are at a red light in Cincy and someone asks you to roll your window down, DO NOT do it! Haha!

Well shit now you guys have me second guessing my decision to go... looks and sounds like an adventure Go across the river to the Anchor Grill. Order the Goetta and a Hudepohl, then sit and watch the animatronic juke box band while you wait. You will receive total Cincinnati consciousness.

Well shit now you guys have me second guessing my decision to go... looks and sounds like an adventure Just wear Kevlar, man. I would be fine its my wife that worries me. I can take horrible fans but my wife takes it personally and has no filter. The actual scary city ghetto stuff does not really bother me. I'm a hoodrat by birth so this will not be my first rodeo

As real as it gets. I finished off several nights of bar hopping there in the 80's, and judging by what I see online, nothing has changed. But forget about my recommendation of the Goetta. Frankly, I'm not sure you could handle it, and I don't want to be responsible for a tragedy.

Well Thanksgiving has past so at least you don't need to worry about some radio station nuts throwing live turkeys out of a helicopter.

Colleged in the Cincy area many, many years ago and have spent many a weekend or evening there. The comments about the XU and UC areas are not wrong, but the common theme is nearly all posters are basing them on 20 years ago. The OTR area has picked up considerably; can't speak for Norwood nowadays, but it was a "shithole" when I visited X 30 years ago, so maybe it's improved as well(?) Downtown is also noticeably better, though it may fall short to that Downtown Disney of Indianapolis!
My point is it's a real city, kids. You all did 4-6 years in *Muncie* while attending BSU. Let's act like it and don't scare so easy!

I am sure this ranking took note of our amusing regional criminal activity as chronicled by the General here

Imagine if Butler instead of being located in Butler/Tarkington were located in the middle of Haughville, that's what Xavier is like. Norwood has a crime composite of 9. that's on a scale of 1-100 where 1 is extremely dangerous.

Even downtown Indy is no picnic now. And of course the Norwood area has to have "improved" because when I toured the campus, there had been a recent factory fire/explosion and everything was kind of cratered and a lot of windows boarded over. I mean it HAS to be better.... right?
