I have avoided that fan page as irrelevant, especially now , but you guys seem to be getting a kick out of it and keeping everybody here well informed.... My hometown has a profile very similar to Blackford. I can only imagine if we'd ever had a basketball star come out of the county with the kind of hype that Luke Brown had, the folks who never left the county would be doing the same thing. Luke Brown is, almost certainly, the best high school basketball player that any of them ever watched play in person. When you never get much past the county line, it's hard to fathom that he's not the best basketball player everyone in the world has never seen. I see a lot of the folks in my hometown reflected in the mafia page comments, and truth be told I feel sorry for them in many ways. But mostly I feel bad for Luke Brown. He seems like a good kid and these yahoos (and some media folks, like Gregg Doyle) have put some absolutely absurd expectations on his shoulders. |

In Anderson and Madison co. we never had the Luke Brown syndrome. We had three high schools and each had their Luke Browns. Add the county schools from Frankton, Lapel, Pendleton and from Delaware Co. Daleville, The Anderson Sectional was very interesting to say the least.
