Windham did his best in the last game to prove Whitford wrong for benching him for the past 9 games by scoring 17 points in 12 minutes of action. Whitford was further embarrassed in the post game radio interview when asked about him; stating "there was a role for Windham and he knew what was needed of him to seize that role".
So how much playing time will Windham get against Toledo Friday night? This might be the most interesting aspect of the game as we know BSU will likely get "smoked".

You don't shit whit and get away with it.. I foresee a Davis or Kiapway situation unfolding That's why I voted for Whitford doesn't play him at all. If Whitford wants to avoid being embarrassed with a good performance out of Windham, that's the way to go. I believe this is Windham's 4th year of college (1 year at Creighton, 1 year sitting out at BSU after his transfer, 1 Covid year in 2020-21, and now this year). Is possible he's on-track to graduate this year and go somewhere else next year as a graduate transfer with 2 years of playing eligibility left.

If Windham has a good performance it would mean he played a little D and was doing enough things he's supposed to to stay in the game.
If Whitford has been sitting him out until he shaped up, more power to him.

If Whitford has been sitting him out until he shaped up, more power to him. So your theory is Windham's lack of playing defense got him benched for 9 games? I would hope there was something a bit more behind the benching. Like not attending class, getting behind in his studies, not showing respect to the coaching staff, etc. Most of our players play little to no defense. Why single-out Windham over the rest of the roster?

If Windham has a good performance it would mean he played a little D................ Yeah that's one thing about Whitford, he never plays a guy who doesn't work hard on the defensive end of the floor. Where do you get this crap, Whitford has never based playing time on defensive effort.

I dont care if he plays or not it is another thing to talk about Yes, wouldn't it be great to be talking about where BSU might be seated in the NCAA Basketball Tournament in March. Instead we get to speculation on why someone who could obviously make a contribution isn't playing.

Probably a function of their "loosing" ways.

Stupid to argue much about it. Or to assume some egregious error by staff. I regret that current culture on the forum.

A solid truth.
This is a fan forum, of course it will have stupid arguments.

Unfortunately, the things other fan bases might speculate about are totally worthless for us to talk about.
How's the rest of the season going to play out? It's virtually assured we're going to finish the regular season somewhere between 14-16 and16-14. They've got four sure wins against the pitiful Michigan directional schools and NIU, three of those games being at home. They might pick up another couple of wins somewhere. If fact it's almost a certainty that they'll tease a few people by playing way over their head in another game or 2.
They're currently the 5 seed in the MAC tournament, which means they'd be matched up against No. 12 in round one. Even if they drop a few spots, they're going to get one of the truly awful MAC teams at home in the first round. It would be almost impossible for them to not make it past the first round given their likely opponents.
So those things really aren't worth discussing.
We might talk about who our next coach will be or what we'd want in our next coach, but the administration has pretty much guaranteed that conversation would be a waste of time.
We could talk about what player is really "getting it" now and will be that key cog as we make the run toward the tourney, but our coach pretty much makes it a sure thing that no player will do that.
Yeah, so we're stuck speculating on stuff like this. I say it's a Whitford KO. Windham never gets off the mat after warm-ups. The one possibility is if we pull out our vaunted 4-guard offense.

Do 12 teams go to Cleveland?
8 teams in would mean if we are a 5 seed we play a tough 4 seed. A 6 seed, we play very tough 3 seed.
