This is what I absolutely hate about Ball State BB, they start to show improvement and give me hope that they might be able to do something and that’s just a big set up so they can crap the bed the next most inappropriate time!

Why Sparks shot an 18 footer and later a 3 is beyond me. Should have gone totally small earlier!! Defensive pressure and shooters We go brain dead far too often with whit coaching. Guys start trying to do things they can’t do. And whit rarely makes necessary corrections to that. Sellers had something going and was athletic enough to guard a guy like healey but Jacobs played more and wasn’t good. We needed Seller’s dynamism out there more. Bumb can’t guard well enough in games like tonight. We don’t pressure shooters. We don’t seal off the backside on rebounds. we keep doing the same stuff over and over. Etc etc etc. All in all another bad loss at home with Whit. But let me guess, we lost tonight because of “youth” and the game got hard. One step forward two steps back. |

Very little evidence of a halftime adjustment in any game ever. There is no lead that is safe for Ball State. There is no discernible discipline on offense or defense in most games. There's a reason why opposing teams have big runs on Ball State.

We wouldn't have deserved it if we did win. CMU fought harder for most of the game. They are bad enough they almost gave it to us. Kind of fitting we pulled a Plitt at the end and gave it back.

I have not read any other comments yet but what the fuck.. We had not a clue of what to do during the overtime session. That was just poor coaching, execution etc etc just horrible

Instead we foul their best free-throw shooter on purpose and go back down 2 possessions. Stupid. Worse than Sparks shooting an 18 footer or 3 pointer. |

Whitford has proved over time to be poor at in game x/o’s and adjustments. How many tight games have we lost because of that? How many big leads have we blown because of poor game management? How does our administration not recognize these deficiencies that he’s displayed from day 1? We actually have some real talent this year yet here we sit, a .500 team in Feb, losing at home to a 5 win team that wanted it more, played harder and smarter. I like how CMU moves the ball. Their coach has a plan and it’s starting to have some success. |

Coach Tony Barbee out coached Half-Whit. We are clueless in running a zone offense. Don't know why we didn't go small and I will never understand why Bum was on the Aussie. Was this the start of our yearly February swoon. Sure looked like it to me.
