I wondered if Barbee's standouts against us were college basketball lifers. Make your own call on that. Henderson who turns 25 in March started out at USC in 2016 & has also played at Southern last yr & Milwaukee between USC & CMU. He tops Walton with 4 NCAA D1 college basketball schools. Healey is only 23 & it appears since last yr does not count he may return next yr for his 6th season in college. He spent 4 yrs at Albany,NY after a college prep yr in Florida after leaving his home in Australia.

I don't think they can do it with any level of consistency. Whitford relies on the lowest percentage shot in the game as their primary offensive weapon. Defenses hurry our shooters or we have an off night and we just plain suck. We have an interior presence now but its not enough to overcome a poor shooting night. It's the system not the kids. They have a high probability of failure based on the system. It's understandable that they get frustrated. They are setup for a really good chance of failure even against teams are much less talented than they are and even with outstanding effort.

I finally acted on Calhoun's plea to let the administration know how I feel so I just texted Beth Goetz demanding change. I can't take the complete lack of inspiration any longer. Whitford is in so far over his head and never fails to show it. That I had no desire to even turn on the TV last night makes me want to puke. I can't believe the program has been allowed to become so irrelevant. Provide her # and we’ll all attempt to get her to remove her head from her arse! |

University administration is pretty impervious to complaints unless it is scandal, and it hits the news, reaches the statehouse, or otherwise is actually important to their reputation. (They didn't ignore the Ronnie problem, for example, but then they didn't exactly fix the problem that led to Ronnie even when they listened to complaints) And any alternative action has to be consistent with priorities and budget. Otherwise easy to ignore. |
