You guys! Longwood is currently 21-6 overall with a 13-1 conference record. They have a 1 game lead over Winthrop for 1st place in the Big South Conference. Might need to check them out on ESPN+ soon!

How great is it going to be to write "Longwood" in your tourney bracket? I see Longwood standing tall for their exposure on a national stage, and penetrating deep into the tourney. They will be a hard match up for anyone if they can exploit their size advantage inside. I can see them making the Stiff Sixteen, the Erect Eight, possibly even the Firm Four!

My fear is that Longwood will get too excited for the tournament, spurt out to an early lead and then come out limp in the second half.

I watched Longwood play last week. They are long and athletic, and can take you deep into the shot clock.

Taking a quick look outside our world of long-term failure and dismal despair: the Longwood Lancers are playing in the finals of the Big (and I do mean BIG) South tourney today. Looking to insert themselves in the NCAA tourney and make a big splash on the national stage.

Longwood, a long down trodden program can achieve a high level of success Under a new coach in 3 years. At bsu we just can’t do that so we should stick with our guy in the off chance he eventually achieves something big someday. |
