Just passing along info
I just got a text saying Randy Stoops has given up his Football Suite and no one from Stoops has been present at basketball games. I was told he wants changes in the AD dept.. I don't know if this is accurate or any back story but losing a corporate sponsor is a big blow to the ath dept

Put as much money into the program as Stoops has over the years and then have that money help fund the contract extension of a basketball coach that clearly needed to be replaced and I can see why Randy wouldn't want to continue funding this athletic administration. Sad as that might be.

Woof! By changes in the Athletic dept, does that mean a certain head coach or does that include administration? (Not that you know the answer to that)

Randy is fed up with Whitford and the commitment to the program. It’s a damn shame we haven’t been to the tournament in 20 plus years. I’m sure Means and Goetz will go beg Dan Towriss for $ to offset Stoops.

ballstfan is correct. I talked to Randy yesterday and we agreed about Whitford but also the concerns were more widespread with the status quo attitude of the department. This past football season that wasted everyone's time I think had a lot to do with being "fed up". The attitude of the team that was revealed on this site was the coaches fault all of them.

They still ran Stoops ads at the game today.

From what I was told from another source, the tipping point for Randy was when he called the athletic office for tickets to the Penn State game and was told he wasn't (paraphrasing) "a big enough donor". You know, despite giving money and cars to the program for what ... 30 years? That basically marked the end ....

Bsu athletics administration, shooting itself in the foot for how many years now?

Unless that is the stance of the AD don't you think that could have been resolved fairly easily? Of course what he was probably asking for you don't get through the ticket office.

It wasn't the ticket office ... it was further up the chain that made the error.
