Love kid, but his record for accuracy isn’t the greatest. Unless someone wrote a check and said make this happen I don't see it before that date where the price goes down. They could still be working in the background to get a replacement. It would be like Christmas Day if it did happen. Then comes the fear of who they hire to replace him. My bet is that it will be a woman or trans person. As long as they can coach...... |

I had really hoped Beth would have done this by now, like, even after last year, but definitely needs to happen this year and we should have seen this type of wording like from WMU - "However, in assessing our performance in recent years, we agreed a change in leadership is necessary to elevate this program towards a level of comprehensive excellence that includes competing at the highest levels of the MAC." Whit wasn't her hire, yet, he's given a pass anyway despite not producing what WMU is looking for and hasn't gotten. We are A: Too Cheap, and B: Too afraid to make that big a move. We only change coaches if a coach leaves on their own.

Isn't it interesting there was no financial issue cutting Ronny Thompson a big severance check on his way out. The amount of money we are talking about is miniscule and BSU has the funds available if it chooses to move on.

We were running scared of the racial fallout then so we paid him to just go away quietly. He engineered that entire situation. Gora and Budd were so dumb and blind. They thought they’d get John Thompson on board.. |

How likely is it that Beth actually reads the message board? I would have to think that the decision on if Whit stays or goes is already made up regardless of what happens on Thursday? Now, if they should happen to win and get to championship game maybe that decision changes?

I don't know about Beth, but I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that people in BSU Athletics read this board and that at one point there was discussion about trying to shut it down. That was some time ago. |

That was some time ago. Yep, they weren't fond of the criticism they were getting or the info that was getting divulged. Rabbit ears and softness in the athletic department. IMO it's been a foregone conclusion that they'd continue to ignore the basketball program and the very loyal people who continue to support it. I hope I'm wrong, and I'd been very shocked and pleased if they did pull the plug, but, that would not be in keeping with their track record. |

A coach with a winning percentage of .471 after 8 years needs to be dismissed. Even if you take out those first two years he has a .536 winning percentage with a strength of schedule of -1.52. Conference record is 68 and 94. Everything says he needs to be dismissed.

This hardly seems fair. He won more games in his first two years combined vs. Whit (13 vs. 12) and Bates was 9-28 in league play while Jim was 4-32. How stupid is Western?!? Don't they realize it takes a full decade to install your system and begin clicking on all fires? |

That was some time ago. 100% percent they read it everyday and if it were up to them and legal they would shut us down. It's not legal though you can't shut down people's opinion. The emergence of Twitter has taken the heat of little message boards like this. Trust me you can really piss off some people on Twitter lol. |
