I think Whit has given us exactly what we would expect a 30 game season for a coach with a .471 winning percentage & he comes out 14-16. But remember BSU's wins leader Jim Hinga in 14 yrs was 154-169 a .477 winning percentage & he also never won a conference championship. To me this only shows Whit & BSU are made for each other & pity us & the other fans. We are not going to buy him out the best we can hope for is he resigns for whatever reason.

This whole “the athletic department is keeping tabs on us” discussion explains a lot about 00. He’s probably terrified that the powers that be will punish him for crime think. That or he’s their inside agent here to obfuscate and troll.

A coach with a winning percentage of .471 after 8 years needs to be dismissed. Even if you take out those first two years he has a .536 winning percentage with a strength of schedule of -1.52. Conference record is 68 and 94. Everything says he needs to be dismissed. Why does he deserve a mulligan on his first two years? Agree he needs dismissed regardless.

I dont remember the specifics anymore, but I do remember year 2 being a calamity that seemed at the time mostly outside of his control. The only thing I remember about it was it being comical how many things went wrong. So based on that I wasnt very angry after year 2. Years 3-9 on the other hand…

I don't know about Beth, but I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that people in BSU Athletics read this board and that at one point there was discussion about trying to shut it down. That was some time ago. 100% percent they read it everyday and if it were up to them and legal they would shut us down. It's not legal though you can't shut down people's opinion. The emergence of Twitter has taken the heat of little message boards like this. Trust me you can really piss off some people on Twitter lol. You can, but about Ball Stare sports? I’m not sure enough people even care enough to follow them on Twitter.

I just assumed that the lack of interactions meant not many people paid attention. Kinda like when I return the letters asking me to donate money with “I’ll donate some if you fire the basketball coach” yet they keep sending them to me.

I think there feeling it from a donor standpoint. I've heard most donations are all being earmarked for football. This kinda sucks for the other sports though.

Basketball, meh, they don’t care so much. Whitford is fine for them.

This board here is still basketball heavy but we are an older crowd. You guys remember being good but it's almost to the point you have to be lifer or from Muncie to remember success in basketball. So yes the casual Ball State fan and anyone who has graduated in the last 25 years is much more interested in football. What's happened in the last 15 years in football Hoke a couple bowls national ranking, Lebo a couple bowls. Wins over Iu Virginia south Florida, Nue Mac Champ couple bowls, ranked.. All this happening while social media has exploded and every game is watchable. There's a huge difference in interest it's really not even close
