I can't wait to pay for my 2022-23 season tickets and give the Cardinals about $10,000 for such a hard fought season...NOT!! Keeping this imposter is putting us behind the eight ball so far we may never crawl out.

Congratulations to Sparks! An amazing athlete. Also congratulations to Sellers, he is also amazing! www.thestarpress.com/story/sports/college/ball-state/2022/03/09/college-basketball-ball-state-center-named-mac-freshman-year/9373398002/Whitford is an optimist. Sees Sparks more versatile on offense. Compares Franko House. Adding some midrange and ability to drive would make him a monster. Hard to predict if he can extend his range much. But I never expected Bo Calhoun to be shooting 3's with effect. I just hope he can find ways to adjust to defensive pressure inside, and to also be better on D. Never he will be a shot blocker, but now gets beat too often when he doesn't anticipate and react on D as well as he will with experience. The article describes a work ethic which predicts study and improvement.

We do not and will not have the COY on our campus unless we host Kent State. But, there is a bright light ahead.... Since it's a foregone conclusion IMHO that Jim will NOT be canned, there is every chance he could hang in for two more years and become Ball State's ALL-TIME LEADER IN WINS!!! He has 130 now and the man he is chasing (aka the model for mediocrity) Jim Hinga sits atop the mountain with a 154-169 career mark. So if Jim averages just 13 wins per season next year and in 2024 he will achieve history. Here's even better news...at that point you're sort of like Coach K, a living legend who can end his career and retire when you turn 70 from the school that gave you your break. So strap in lads, I'm here for ALL of it!! I think the real question is this: Will Whitford become the all-time leader in wins before he becomes the all time leader in loses? He's 24 wins away from setting the wins record, 25 loses away from the loss record. The race is on.

Fucking Jimny is already trying to take the center out of sparks and have him jacking up threes. Christ Already? I cant believe it took this long. As soon as Sparks started impressing us all with his post presence I expected Whitford to tell him to cut it out. We’re lucky we got a full season of Sparks doing what he is made to do. And it would be unreasonable to expect improvement, given the 9 year track record of players digressing.

“wasn't sure he could even play at the MAC level and now he's FOY“
I’m sure Whitford wasn’t either so that’s why he recruited Sparks! Just like the other two 5’s that have rode the bench their entire BSU careers! Evidently however Sparks proved him wrong and became a force to reckon with!! Well done young Mr. Sparks!!

Adding to the illustrious, impactful list of BSU MAC all-freshman team selections this century (not making this up):
Maurice Acker Melvin Goins Jauwan Scaife Chris Bond Aaron Adeoye Zavier Turner Sean Sellers Jarron Coleman
How do you think we hung all those banners in the 2000's? I anticipate continued BSU domination of the MAC!

Did anybody watch the ASun championship game yesterday! Bellarmine won the tourney championship in just their 2nd year at the D-I level? Coach Scotty Davenport was one of four finalists for the BSU job nine years ago. I’m guessing his age at the time (57) hurt him. His offensive philosophy is player movement with ball movement. Not a great deal of dribbling. He has a career winning percentage around .738. Our script for the past 9 years would have been so different if Davenport would’ve been selected. Knowing Scotty’s upbeat & positive personality, I’m amazed the powers at be selected Nit-Whit….a polar opposite!
