Bellarmine jumped to DI for the 2020-2021 season and affiliated with the Atlantic Sun Conference.
This week they won the Atlantic Sun Basketball Tournament, but since they are in the 4-year transition period, they cannot go dancing. Jacksonville State will take their place.
How about BSU goes after Bellarmine coach Scott Davenport? He's 395-133 in 16 seasons at Bellarmine.

Why would he leave Bellarmine for Ball State ? We've got Luke Brown! And we see how his offensive wizardry took us over the top!

And we see how his offensive wizardry took us over the top! If Luke Brown hit the portal tomorrow would he get any D1 offers ? I don't think he would.

And we see how his offensive wizardry took us over the top! On a serious note, that kid did work his ass off when he was in the game last night. It's pretty obvious his basketball IQ is much higher than most of the other numbskulls in cardinal and white he's on the floor with.

Totally agree. He's not productive. It's just we are plagued by individuals on the team that don't have a clue about playing team basketball and don't give a damn. They came to Ball State because Whitford is going to let them play like that. Brown stands out as not being one of those players.

I'm not doubting the kid's fundamentals and "basketball IQ," but the reason he looks like he's "working his ass off" most of the time is because he's struggling to keep up with his man on defense and get open on offense so he can catch and shoot, since he's not able to create his own shot off the dribble, regardless of whatever offense we claim to be running.

Do we have an emerging pattern or a simple coincidental occurrence; i.e., El Amin transfers to Rhode Island, they have a mediocre season and the HC gets fired; Coleman transfers to Missouri, they have a mediocre season and the HC gets fired; Gunn transfers to IUPUI and the program becomes a dumpster fire; Walton transfers to Akron, they struggle with him in the line-up rotation, he gets booted from the program and now they (Akron) will probably be in post season play (NCAA or NIT). Well, what conclusion can we draw? Shit happens, I guess. I'm just throwing out for late night garbage; boy do I miss when Ball State basketball was relevant.
