believe it or not, people outside BSU actually do read this board from time to time. That kind of crap gives cred to Ronny Thompson/Michael Wilbon BS.
You've met Pres. Mearns, right? I pretty much expect a minority candidate will be targeted. As long as he can coach, I don’t care. |

I know ... it's quick, but let's start the thread. Who does everyone want to see as our New Head Coach? Names I have seen and liked: Bruce Weber Jim Christian Terry Johnson - Asst. Purdue (thanks Sweep) Darner? Mark Turgeon? Who else? Bruce Weber - out of our pay range Jim Christian - Maybe Terry Johnson - Asst. Purdue (thanks Sweep) - Maybe Darner - Most likely Mark Turgeon - I feel like there's more to the story with his mid-season end at Maryland. Not sure we could afford him anyway. Cuonzo Martin - out of our pay range If it's not Darner, it'll likely be an assistant from a B1G school, or a lower division head coach. |

Please please please do not hire some guy who has been to two or three jobs in the last seven years and expect them to bring us back unless they cheat. We do not need some Big Ten assistant looking for the next big conference job to open up. We need a basketball teacher and recruiting assistants

We do not need some Big Ten assistant looking for the next big conference job to open up. I hope we are looking for a new coach every three years for the next two decades. Everyone who has interest in this job is looking to move-up. |
